  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at Bank of the West by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • Bank of the West never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website has been chosen to look very similar to the actual Bank of the West URL. Do not be fooled!

We recently reviewed your account, and suspect that your Bank of the West account may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party.
Therefore, as a preventative measure, we have temporarily limited access to sensitive Bank of the West account features.

Such action may also be in violation of local, national, and/or international law. Bank of the Westl is committed to assist law enforcement with any inquires related to attempts to misappropriate personal information with the intent to commit fraud or theft. Information will be provided at the request of law enforcement agencies to ensure that perpetrators are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
