  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at Bank Of America by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • Bank Of America never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website is disguised as "http://www.bankofamerica.com/ update/index.html".


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website looks nothing like the actual Bank Of America URL.

We recently have discovered that multiple computers have attempted to log into your Bank Of America Account, and multiple password failures were presented before the logons. We now require you to re-validate your account information to us.
If this is not completed by January 12, 2007, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes.
