  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at Regions by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • Regions never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The spoof website this email links to was not online at time of this report, but variations of the scam which link to working websites are bound to exist, so be wary! The website may have been taken down or disabled by the hosts, but quite often these websites are hosted on the personal computer of the phishers, so may only be online at certain times.


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website looks nothing like the actual Regions URL.

Dear Regions Customer

Due to concerns of account frauds, for the safety and integrity of the Regions account we have issued this warning message.
We recently have determined that different computers have tried logging into your Regions account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information with Regions so that we can properly protect you and your information.Once you have updated your account records, your Regions account service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal. However, if the information is not confirmed until the 3rd of December 2007, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely.
