  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at eBay by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • eBay never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website is disguised as "https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn&co_partnerId=2&pUserId=&siteid=0 &pageType=&pa1=& i1=&bshowgif=&UsingSSL=yes".


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website looks nothing like the actual eBay URL.

This email was sent automatically by the eBay server because your eBay account can be deactivated. We have detected a fraud complaints from the eBay Members.
We recently reviewed your account, and suspect that your eBay account may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. Protecting the security of your account and of the eBay network is our primary concern. This is a prevention measure, we have temporarily limited access to sensitive eBay account features.

To reactivate and access your account, follow these steps:
1. Click on the link below. If nothing happens when you click on the link (or if you use AOL), copy and paste the link into the address bar of your web browser.

The link will take you to our Verify Your Identity page.
