  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at e-gold by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • e-gold never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The spoof website this email links to was not online at time of this report, but variations of the scam which link to working websites are bound to exist, so be wary! The website may have been taken down or disabled by the hosts, but quite often these websites are hosted on the personal computer of the phishers, so may only be online at certain times.


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website looks nothing like the actual e-gold URL.

This automatic email notice lets you know that modifications have been made to the Account Information settings for your e-gold account. The current settings for your account can be viewed and modified at the e-gold website by choosing the Account Info menu selection while accessing your account.

Because the log in was made from a foreign IP address (Russia 32.133-120-206.telenet.ru) we have limited your account access.

If you accessed your account while traveling, the unusual log in may have been initiated by you. However, if you are the rightfull holder of the account, please visit e-gold as soon as possible to verify your identity and restore your full account access.
