Sorry but his spiel on "the developers using
if statements as a coding device to build a
unique and engaging
experience" is utter pseudo-intellectual
babble. You'd be creating something unique if
your boss fight *didn't* have if
statements in the code.

His intended point was fine (game designers
should consider limiting the repeatability of
the player's abilities in a
boss fights to force them to consider
alternate ways to progress) but the way he
