  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at Downey Savings by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • Downey Savings never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The spoof website this email links to was not online at time of this report, but variations of the scam which link to working websites are bound to exist, so be wary! The website may have been taken down or disabled by the hosts, but quite often these websites are hosted on the personal computer of the phishers, so may only be online at certain times.


  • The REAL URL of the spoof website looks nothing like the actual Downey Savings URL.

This security measure is to protect your Downey Savings ATM/Visa Check Card againts unauthorized transaction.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but Downey Savings feels that is a necessary precaution to protect your account information.

Your Downey Savings ATM/Visa Check Card number must be rectivate before use.

Activate Your Card Online

1. Log in to Downey Savings Online Banking
2. Enter your e-mail address along with your card number and click Submit Activation Request

Please do not reply to this message. In order to keep your account information private and secure, we ask that you log on to Downey Savings and visit the Secure Message Center if you wish to send an additional question or require further assistance.
