traced to a server in Seoul, South Korea.

WARNINGS

1. Spoof email informs you your account has been suspended as requests you visit spoof eBay site to keep your acount active. But your details are captured by the spoof webpage and forwarded to a local script.

2. eBay never send out emails to their users requesting details like this.

3. URL of spoof page is mostly numbers so easy to spot that its not really eBay!

 

" Dear Customer, We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community. "...

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.

 

The Spoof Email ...

Dear Customer,

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community.

Per the User Agreement, Section 9, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

To activate your suspended eBay account please complete the form located at:
