Bogus Web Content?
URL of web content

disguised as:

Traced to a server in Atlanta, USA.

1. Email requests victim update their PayPal account by visiting link and entering details. Any details entered are captured by a script and forwarded to the scammers.

2. PayPal never send users emails requesting details in this way.

3. Fake URL claims to be a secure link (https) but is not, so any personal details you enter will be sent UNENCRYPTED across the web!

4. Email exploits security flaw in Windows and displays an image over the address bar of your browser to hide the real URL. Displays rather than

" Dear Paypal valued member, Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the paypal account we have issued this warning message. "...

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.
