WARNINGS

1. If you reply to the email you'll be taken for a ride with the promise of money just round the corner, but you'll be stung for hidden cost after hidden cost and you'll never recieve the promised money. Don't be fooled by a complicated story.

2. Note the impersonal nature of the email that has supposedly been sent only to you.

"Dear Sir, Compliments of the season. I wish to solicit your help in migratingto your country and investing my funds..."

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.

The Spoof Email ...

Mrs Sandra Thomas.
15, rue Flemming
Zone 3, Abidjan.
Cote d'Ivoire.

Dear Sir,

Compliments of the season. I wish to solicit your help
in migratingto your country and investing my funds.
Briefly, I am a Sudanese Nationaland the wife of late
Dr SIMON THOMAS. Until his death, my husband was
theChief Executive of the Diamond Mine in kanema,
southern Sudan.
On April 6 2004 Rebels (Arab Militias) invaded the
diamond mine andassassinated my husband, mistaking him
for his brother GERALD THOMAS whois the a top
Government official and special aide to the
President.Whenthe news reached me, I hurriedly
gathered some valuables in our familyvilla and escaped
for my dear life in the company of my only son
Micheal.Among the valuables was a file that contained
details of a deposit myhusband made in a security
company in Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire. The documentstated
that my late Husband deposited 9.5 million US dollars
contained ina trunk box in the name of our son
Frank. The deposit was registered asfamily valuables
and art works.I believe my late husband made this
fortunefrom the sale of Gold and diamonds during his
time as the ExecutiveDirector of the diamond mining
corporation.
Now that we are in Abidjan and verified the existence
of thisdeposit, we need your assistance to move this
deposit out of Côte d'Ivoirefor investment in your
country as we cannot invest here due to our statusas
political refugees. I am proposing to give your 10% of
the total sum(9.5 million US Dollars), and 15% share
in any investment we will embarkupon if you assist us.
We will also set aside 3% of the funds forincidental
expenses which you could make in course of this
transaction (fax messages, phone calls, air tickets
etc).
I am making this proposal in good faith believing that
you will notdissappoint us knowing the difficult
situation we are facing here in WestAfrica. I will ask
you to treat the existence of this funds as top
secretfor security reasons.
Send your reply to my Alternative email address:
sandra_thomas12002@yahoo.fr
Best regards.
Mrs Sandra Thomas
