WARNINGS

1. Another variant of a common scam, targeting a variety of banks using the same email layout, with the text embedded in an image that links to a spoof webpage. The spoof page requests you enter various account details. DON'T!

2. eBay never send users emails requesting details in this way.

3. Very similar to an scam reported yesterday (identical content, but different return address and server), suggesting several variants may be in circulation at present.

" Dear eBay member, You have received this email because you or someone else had used your identity to make false purchases on eBay..."...

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.
