Worldwide Charity Foundation Letter

Another classic '419' style of scam - sender is requesting volunteers to help 'control the flow' of charity donations. This is a technique used to trick people into laundering money by allowing it to pass from the scammers through your account to its final destination.

Bogus Web Content?
URL of web content

1. A '419' style of scam. In this case the scammers are trying to take advantage of your goodwill to trick you into laundering money for them under the guise of 'charitable' donations.

2. Sender uses a free web based email address rather than one tied to the organisation they are supposedly from. A sure sign of a spoof.

" I represent the "Worldwide Charity Foundation". Our mission is to bring hope to a hurting world "...

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.
